Performance Improvement

The supply chain is a dynamic environment. Every day brings more complexity and the need for change, to improve the performance of your existing resources, to satisfy the requirements of customers, suppliers, carriers, from people within your own company.

Warehouse operations success starts with actively managing continuous productivity and quality improvement, to get the best value from your investment in people, material handling and storage equipment, and software systems that support the daily work.

So where do we start? What do we want to achieve, and how do we measure our progress to know we are moving in the right direction?

And what is the one question that you need to ask, to be ready to work with a Coach, to help you and your Distribution Center achieve that next level of performance?

Whether the priority is to improve performance:
  • Within a department;
  • Of the entire warehouse;
  • In serving other departments within the company;
  • Between your company and the suppliers and customers in your supply chain; or
  • As warehouse manger or supervisor,

imagine how much more could be accomplished by working with a personal Coach that understands warehouse management and the challenge of performance improvement.

Coaching

I have been consulting to and coaching managers and supervisors in warehouses and distribution centers for over 30 years, including over 10 years of responsibility for Industrial Engineering and management consulting services at Semco, Sweet and Mayers.

My work has included designing new distribution centers, material handling systems, warehouse management systems, and supporting managers in their work to continuously improve performance of their existing systems. My work has always been independent, to optimize the value and performance of "solutions" vendors and their products.

If you can imagine working with a coach to improve your performance or that of your warehouse or distribution center, let’s talk. Send an e-mail to me at Coach@warehousecoach.com, or call me at +1.503.296.7249.

If you need some consulting support to help you through any step in the change process, let's talk.

And, until you are ready to begin to work with a Warehouse Coach, check out the articles on the
Affordable Change page of this site, to read about ideas and approaches that can be implemented, starting tomorrow to improve warehouse operations performance.
